FRB - Fondation pour la Recherche sur la Biodiversité; Coordinator of BiodivERsA
The Foundation for Research on Biodiversity is a platform for the different scientific players and stakeholders in society concerned with biodiversity. It was created in 2008, following the Grenelle Environment Forum, with the support of the ministries for research and ecology and eight public research establishments, joined by LVMH in 2014.
Generating innovation, promoting scientific projects in association with society and developing studies, overviews and valuations are at the core of the foundation’s missions. Up until now, more than 170 structures, associations, businesses, managers or authorities have joined the FRB with the aim of facing scientific biodiversity challenges together.
The 9 founding members of the FRB are:

- CIRAD (French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development)
- CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research)
- IFREMER (French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea)
- INRA (National Institute for Agricultural Research)
- IRD (Institute of Research for the Development)
- IRSTEA (National Research Institute of Science and Technology for Environment and Agriculture)
- LVMH
- MNHN (National Museum of Natural History)
