Pan-European call for research proposals on invasive species and biological invasions
The submission stage is now closed and the project proposals are currently under assessment.
- Indicative timeline :
- 14th of December 2012: deadline for mandatory pre-registration
- 13th of February 2013: deadline for submitting proposals
- February to May 2013: external review of proposals
- May 2013: evaluation of proposals and final ranking
- Early June 2013: funding decision
- October 2013: earliest start of projects
Short call description:
The European partners in the BiodivERsA network have joined efforts to organize and fund a pan-European call for research projects on invasive species and biological invasions.
The call will address the following themes, across all ecosystems and organisms (but see possible restriction for some countries):
T1: Demonstrating and characterising the impacts of biological invaders
T2: Understanding mechanisms of biological invasions and levers for mitigating and/or reversing the impacts of biological invaders
T3: Evaluating the interactions between biological invasions and other global environmental changes
T4: Biological invasions and public perceptions
T5: Biological invasions and adaptation

Budget of the call: more than 7 M€ among the 10 countries participating to the call (see list here).
