Welcome to BiodivERsA
Funded under the FP7 ERA-NET scheme, BiodivERsA is a network of national funding organisations promoting pan-European research that offers innovative opportunities for the conservation and sustainable management of biodiversity.
Joint calls
In tandem with its coordination and strategy work, BiodivERsA aims to establish itself as a source of regular funding with the launch of one joint call a year.
Funded Projects
A unique aspect of BiodivERsA's work is that it funds small-to-medium-sized pan-European projects – often involving between five and seven partners (from three to five countries).
Database
The BiodivERsA Research Information System compiles information on European, national and regional funding programmes and funding organisations supporting biodiversity research.
Strategic Cooperation
Through strategic analysis activities and its common research agenda, BiodivERsA is evolving towards an independent and self-sustained funding platform for European biodiversity research.

Partners
All partners in BiodivERsA have a national or regional responsibility for funding biodiversity research. Fifteen of the European Union 25 member states are represented through 21 partner organisations.
